Why do some superhero in movies/comics doesnt wear mask? or try to hide their identity?

like superman and the fantastic fourWhy do some superhero in movies/comics doesnt wear mask? or try to hide their identity?
In the case of the Fantastic Four their identides are publily known so they have no secret idenity to protect. As for Superman he wears his mask (glasses) as Clark Kent. This is sort of saying that Superman is who he really is and Clark Kent is the alter ego. Clark's idenity has been protected two ways. At one time it was said that amongst Superman's powers was super hypnosis and he used this as Clark to protect his secrect idenity. The other explination is that most if not all people who do not know the truth believe that Superman is above living as one of us and do not think he has a secrect indenity. Why do some superhero in movies/comics doesnt wear mask? or try to hide their identity?
The FF's identities are publicly known, as for Superman, I don't think a lot of people get close enough to him to really see his face.
In the case of movies or TV, I would argue that it's because the actor potraying the character wants people to see their work and know it's them. -Look to the two Fantastic Four movies to see what I mean. Michael Chiklis, the guy who plays the Thing, gets quite a bit of screen time out of make up. The same is true of Tobey Maguire, who plays Spider-man. Look how many times his masks rips or he performs unmasked in the movies.

As far as the comics are concerned, some heroes have public identities (e.g. The Elongated Man, The Fantastic Four, and half the superhero community after their Civil War event). Others disguise themselves in different ways. Superman does his hair differently, the Golden Age Flash always mildly vibrated his head at superspeed so no one got a clear look at him. It does seem far-fetched that a hero wouldn't wear a mask to conceal their identities and not be recognized (Lois Lane is a brillant investigative reporter, but never figured out Superman's identity), but we are also talking about a world where people fly, lift cars over their heads, and shoot beams out of their eyes...
Not all of them care about identities, or can transform, or count on the psychological likelihood that most people will be too overwhelmed by their experience with a superhero to proceed to connect them to any average citizen.

Superman doesn't hide his identity because being Superman IS his real identity. Clark Kent is the disguise, get it?

And the Fantastic Four don't hide their identities; they're the prototypical royal superfamily.
Superman does, he has glasses and acts like a nerd when he is Clarke Kent

everyone knows who fantastic four are
well the FF are publicly known, i dont know why, they just never wanted to hide them, but Superman wears glasses when hes Clark Kent
that's the way the author portrays them..............
You left out Hero-4-Hire Luke Cage
